Can this game be played in english, there is no option for english in the settings, and even the title screen is in another language.

You can change the language in the settings/general. You will have to relaunch the game to apply the new language

Wasn't easy, because I don't understand french, but for me it was in options, first tab Langue -> Anglais. Hope this helps, after restart, it switched to english, don't worry if you see french while loading, it will switch to english in the menu yet. :)
