Disappointed that nothing in fact happened upon beating challenge

I was assuming I'd be praised/feted upon in fact beating the challenge before the timer ran out. I mean, what's the point otherwise (even if I grant that the point of beating a challenge in a video game is a bit poorly defined anyway)?

Praised be the internet; clearly the post was tongue-in-cheek as to its literal formulation.

The comment was/is feedback on a work in (supposedly) progress; that some form of acknowlegdement of having "succeeded" would be better design of this specific part of the game: to me it even looked like I might be looking at a bug when literally nothing happened (which in fact was the main reason for reporting/posting here) since the expectation of a player is that something would.

Don't assume others to be idiots unless proved so, lest you prove yourself to be such.
