AMD crash every 15 min after new update
Got the game running exceptionally well and stable at 120fps.
After their latest AMD fix, my game crashes literally every 15 min, I timed it.

Anyone else? Any fixes?

I got the game a couple of days ago and I got zero crash with my 7900XTX and more than solid framerate at 3440x1440 as soon as I turn the ambient occlusion light from ultra to high. I'm running the beta drivers for Skull and Bones and so far they are rock solid on all the game I tried, included Forza Motosport who is a total mess. Give it a try and maybe do a clean install using display drivers uninstal.

I'm running the game on 7900XTX with the driver version 24.1.1 perfectly fine.

A question out of curiosity. Have you tried lowering the setting further and giving the system more breathing room?

I did and it did not change much, I just got unstable 80fps instead of current unstable 60 with these settings https://steamcommunity.com/id/jironimoEN/screenshot/5955518023692688281/
1080p, no fsr, no vsync. I refuse to go lower, at this point I'd rather not play.

I understand that you don't want to lower further. My suggestion was mainly for the sake of experiment.

I saw your screen shot. Imo "view distance" and "shadow" are the main burden. Specially view distance.

Plz note that the issue might not be related to the graphic card at all. High overclocked memory or a faulty/insufficient PSU could also lead to crashes during demanding load.

Many people have complains, while many play normally. So I would try to localize the thing that triggers this crash.

not overclocking for this game, when I was crashing with OC's thought they might be the culprit. they weren't in my case

view distance and shadows were the first options I lowered at first but it didn't help at all and view distance on high or medium produces too many pop ins, even with ultra I'm seeing some but not as bad as medium so I went back to ultra.

psu being faulty/insufficient hard to imagine cause I can run games like rdr2 4k 60 locked on tv. cyberpunk maxed with no raytracing 1440p 90fps with fsr something like 120fps.

I wanted to use fsr but it looks like 1.0 implementation, its been a while since I've seen the game look so bad with fsr. it doubled the fps but I can't handle looking at every texture having wriggling worms.
