"instead of removing all vestiges (as it does currently),
NG+1 will only see a few disappear while keeping the key locations intact.
In NG+2, a few more will disappear, and then in NG+3 all but the main HUB (Skyrest Bridge) and Adyr's Shrine vestige will disappear.
This way, our initial vision remains intact but is more of a gradual adaptation, awaiting those who seek increasing levels of challenge."
Removing vestiges doesn't increase the challenge, all it does is make the game more boring and tedious.
NG+1 as it stand currently is quite manageable. They have removed few major vestiges but most of the crucial ones are still there. I think only one permanent vestige was pain there.
Agreed. Removing vestiges does not add to the challenge, its just tedium.
However, as a general rule, you can expect that any area will have at least 1 permanent vestige. Additionally, if the area is a continuation from previous areas rather than starting from a hub, you can expect permanent vestige.
There are few memorable vestiges I recall that are still present in NG+1:
1. Upper Calrath - past Skinstealer boss, in front of gates to Bramis castle
2. Lydia the Witch - Calrath
3. Vestige in front of entrance to Fief
4. Shrine of Adyr
5. Bramis castle open area - with several shortcuts to move around
6. Vestige inside the Fen area - near shorcut
7. Vestige at the start of Empyrean
8. Red Copse vestige (not 100% sure)
