FSR Question ?? graphics settings make my head scratch....

Running the game on RX 6900 XT @ 2160p here and what is look like strange i that when i enable FSR i was supposed to have headroom and releave a bit my GPU from 20 to 30 % and finally with "last update" the load on the GPU is worth with FSR enabled than without FSR ? Oo....... and i dont talk about umbra where i think my pc will "take off" with fans pushed to the corner @max etc.... are someone experienced some weird behaviour like that with graphics settings that again makes may head scratch....

I personally always use upscaling tech when available. I also have a RX 6900xt and play in 4K and use FSR performance. I am using the preview Fluid Motion Frames Driver most of the time and enabling the feature in the Adrenaline software for this game and it pretty much doubles the frame rate because of the frame gen tech it's using. I have also used the latest 23.11.1 driver with this game but prefer the FMF driver as the framerates are a lot higher.

in-game vsync is so hit or miss, some devs implement it well and it just works as intended and some SOMEHOW mess it up and makes everything worse.always turn it off in-game and stick with AMD FPS Limiter or RTSS limiter (thought RTSS limiter breaks in games that don't allow RTSS).

do not use FSR in this game. something is wrong with it, perf with it is worse than wothout it. if needed change resolution in fullscreen and use game's resolution scale slider

@Piglet thank yu ;) Ah you confirm what i cant be sure that something is wrong with this feature in the game i have same FSR on bring less perf that no FSR too here...... Strange

Unless a patch broke it I was using fsr as it was looking nice and lowering gpu usage.

I tried FSR the other day with my 5700xt and it did its job correctly and not doing this funky thing where it increases the load on the GPU. Maybe try setting it to ultra performance and just checking if the resolution changed at all (dw you'll notice), after that try verifying file integrity seeing if that does anything, last thing I'd do is temporarily use RSR (at 4k it shouldn't look too bad tbh) and contact the support team themselves as they may be unaware this is an issue at all.

Peformance seems fine for me with FSR. I change between quality and peformance every once in a while and fps are higher with performance and lower with quality, both max out my GPU usage and both play fine. Haven't tried with it off, but that would just make the game render at full resolution and at 4k I doubt I would have playable framerates on a RX 6900xt.

Thank yu guys for all answer and feed back normally FSR quality is supposed to do this Ultra Quality 1,3 x (output resolution 77 %) 2954×1662 and lead to a 20-30% less load etc on the GPU here this is really not the case. so i will not lower to anything other down try to gain 20 to 30 % (than Quality) so for me actually FSR look broken at "quality settings" and i will show some datas to figure it out. ;) and give my source for FSR data too. https://www.tomshardware.com/reference/amd-fsr-fidelityfx-super-resolution-explained

FSR on for the first set looks like its using CAS so its recognizing that at least, and the off image is blurrier meaning CAS would be off. That is super weird.

When i turn on FSR i get this strange fuzz/wierdness around my character and objects when turning fast. Almost like a TV static. Super annoying
