A way to farm multiplayer items offline, please
As fun as the multiplayer CAN be, the connection issues are a nightmare. Until the game either gets dedicated servers or region locking for peer to peer, preferably the former, we really need a way to get multiplayer-related items offline because all that stuff is just lost to you without banging your head against a wall for ages.

I was just thinking about this. From did the most simple thing and made all Online items either a rare drop from certain enemies or in the case of DS2, earned extremely late in the playthrough. Just on virtue that this game isn't going to see Dark Souls numbers, I'm surprised there isn't a way to simply farm severed hands and what not.

I'd take them being dropped by high-level enemies from each faction tbh

Same. At least the eyeballs were easy to get online when a lantern was around but even that was somewhat rare. They could of made coins, hands, and eyes be very rare drops for very specific enemies if devs wanted to make items from the altars have some sense of rarity compared to everything else.

Mhm. Which will probably work best. Basically I think these are the best candidates:
Severed Hands: Ruiners/Skinstealers
Plucked Eyeballs: Bringers of Stillness/Scarlet Shadow
Pilfered Coins: Holy Bulwark/Sanctified Huntress

The more difficult, rarer late game enemies would have a higher chance.

I would like to have this.

The game will never get servers because it's not making an income past initial sales, servers cost money to upkeep, and it wouldn't matter if there was region match making, because the game has host side connections, so it's always going to feel pretty terrible for everyone that isn't the host in all multiplayer.

Region locking would be nice then.

You could also have those twin knight enemies in the church drop the coins. Also maybe the weird pregnant moth ladies in Umbral could drop eyeballs?

.Game could make more money past initial sales if the devs are able to fix whatever slew of problems there are to it, especially beyond just multiplayer. Multiplayer with host isn't much of a problem for me but my issue was more on how the game managed to crap itself out in having some error that made the Unreal Engine shutdown with a bug report.

actually the pvp is the easiest to get. due to 9 fingers a win. You will have some bad matches, but just soldier through, coop is the most time consuming sadly.

Sadly PVP connection is... a total mess, honestly. Peer to peer doesn't work too good.

Honestly, there's a lot of Orius enemies that could drop Pilfered Coins and the Abiding Defenders are also an interesting choice as are Sin Piercers, Sacred Resonance and Crimson Rectors. They by far have the most enemy variety; makes sense as Orius has the dominant religion and governing law by the time we're fumbling around the land. I go for a bit rarer options so there's still a reason to coop, hah.

Don't know about about Wombs of Despair though, as they're quite common; even easy to kill with heavier weapons. Then again, an alternative way of getting plucked eyeballs doesn't harm the online ecosystem, so it's not a big deal.

Yeah. Plus, the other option for alternative eyeball drops is the malicious visage or whatever it's called, and uh. *fear*

Mendacious Visage, yeah, though I don't think they respawn. Fact check me on that one. :coocoo:

Wombs of Despair legit are easy as you said. Just spamming heavy attacks with a grandsword on them made them less of a threat than any of enemy in the area. Still, probably would of made plucked eyeballs a rare drop from the Bringers of Stillness then since those guys manage to be a threat thanks to their speed compared to all the other umbral enemies save for the flying ones though granted, the flying ones are more annoying than anything else in the Umbral besides the ravenous fascinators.
