Holy sword guy outside blacksmith jail cell

Any body ever kill that dude? He seems harder than any mini boss by far. He just always heals himself. Does he drop anything good?

just stand on top by the ladder and throw your throwables at the hounds to kill them and if you have any ammo pouches use those to kill/wound him and then fall down and hit heavy attack button to weapon slam the ground for like 2x damage. Really easy

Thanks for answering what item was guarded by this holy band there in the cell. Cause it was bugged for me, it flies incide the cell texture and I cannot pick it up. Could live without that, unless there might be something connected with it

how to stop him from healing himself, when he activates the aura that heals he will hold up his sword to block attacks.

swing once parry his counter, repeat until he staggers or gets posture broken. either cancels out the healing aura.

or get yourself a big boy sword,axe,hammer (although that may mean coming back) and like most things in the game slap him around silly.

What worked for me was opening the prison cell with the blacksmith, going out to aggro the group, climbing up the ladder and going on top of the cell and picking off the ranged mage guys with throwables. Now you are left with some crossbows the knight and the guy with the mace. You can lure the knight into the prison cell but stay on the roof, enemies will follow. AI is too stupid to find a way out unless you lead it to the door. With the knight trapped mop up the rest. Now the finale. Find a good spot to hit him through the wall of the cell. Or if he got stuck on some geometry just go in and slap him until he is dead with a strong attack.

I know, a million steps but jumping from the roof in my case did too little damage. He would heal himself up.

btw, he dropped nothing for me so all this "work" was basically a waste of time

Here's a really easy way to kill them. Run out, die next to the ledge. Kaboom, they all fly off the cliff when you come back. Can be done at any level as long as you can survive the run =P.

The other easy way, is to soul flay him off the cliff.
