RTX 40 Series Performance - Stutter and 99% lows?
My build has a 4080 and 5800X3D, 32 GB RAM, SSD ofc and wow this performance is just as bad as I unfortunately expected - we've really been shafted this year with PC releases...

Anyone have a recommended fix? Maybe ReBar? Frame Gen?

Right before the first boss Pieta I'll show 40 FPS microstutters, and on the boss fight it feels bad too. Such a bummer :\

My friend just plopped a 4080 into his system with a 12700k and he's running the game on ultra at 1440p with no frame drops. Are you on win 11 or 10?

you can enable frame gen with a command, look at patch notes. It doesn't stutter on my end. 5900x. 4090.

i'm on 11

i dont think everyone has the eye for microstuttering tbh

fps is solid 120-165 for me its just the 99% FPS which i'll notice can hit really low, when im feeling a microstutter

yeah i enabled frame gen and while my FPS is improved, the 99% lows microstutters remain :\

Don't have the eye for it? You're kidding right? If you can't notice an FPS drop from a consistent locked FPS, you were either blinking, or looking away. He's streamed the game to me on discord, he doesn't stutter lol. I play with him in co-op, no stutters.

We're playing here on two different computers with a 3060 and 3070 on high settings 144hz and it's usually perfect. We do get some drops in town and when transitioning areas, but that's it so far. Overall the game looks beautiful and runs really well so something must be up with the 40xx cards having problems.

4090/13900K here, the infamous combo of crashes on EU5, when i start the game i got 140+ fps easily, fluidity, then after a while or some movement and zone changes, it starts to stutters for no reason.

Also it gets worst the more you play without closing and restarting the game. It also gets worse the later zone you get. Overall it's a poorly optimized game with a poor experience.

Getting 80Fps drop sometimes is crazy and unthinkable, and since i have to try 20+ times everytimes if i want to play (crash at shaders compil) i'm just rushing the game before i get crazy. Overall a very bad experience, also no FPS changes between ultra and low (overall very low GPU load usage (i'm 100% on every benchmark)

To answer one of your questions, Rebar is on by default for this game with the latest Nvidia drivers (537.58) but people have discussed around the Internet that the default 1GB option that is used for Rebar doesn't always work the best with higher VRAM cards so, you may want to experiment with using Nvidia profile inspector and selecting different Rebar size options.

4090 / 13700K / 32gig / 980 pro / SB AE9 / Win 11.

I am running the game at 4K HDR, FG enabled, all ultra and the game is locked 120 fps, I have run through a few early levels in the game, beating 3 bosses and the game is smooth aside from the odd traversal stutter which you blink and you miss it.

Performance is great on my rig and I like the game too. So its not all systems running 40x series cards having problems.

I have a 3080 i9.

During that first boss lady fight i was getting 120 fps on the auto detect settings then it would drop to 60 on certain animations that she had. Tried turning the settings to LOW on everything and it still would stutter. Game feels choppy.

I checked the same condition before using FG. When she attacks, drops 30fps.
When I enabled FG, it disappeared and it worked stably at 100-120fps (5900x/4090 4k)
In my case, I think the CPU bottleneck was the cause and FG solved it.

I'm not having any troubles on a 4070ti. using FG, res scale 100%, DLAA 1440p. bottom 3 settings off with view distance med, shadows high and the rest ultra. Small spikes ever so often probably traversal but no micro stutter. Runs pretty good and looks great
Hey guys have the last few patches improved stuttering for yall?

I never had it :praisesun:
