Just lost 20 hrs of progress

I was praising this game so much, and then it went and corrupted my save. I even started over, and it crashed again at the first boss.

Lost 7 hrs of progress yesterday, if only the devs implement a system where it saves up 3 of the most recent save files instead of just 1 save and overwriting it over and over. I would recommend using EZAutoBackup to backup your saves, you can find it on the lords of the fallen nexus, the downside is it considers it tampering with the game files, so you will not be able to access online elements.

Sorry to hear that for you guys. I know it definitely wasn't easy to get to where you were. And though you can probably dash your way back, you won't have all the stuff you found and looted. Definitely have to make back up saves every time I exit this game now.

Similar thing happend to me on Final Fantasy 6. Lost 60 hours.

I'm really liking the game so far but i almost want to just wait for all the bugs to be ironed out before i continue.

Download steam cloud save from here:

Place it in:
C:\Users\"yourpcname"\AppData\Local\LOTF2\Saved\SaveGames

I also suggest to do manual backups on same directory, just copy and paste the same folder to another drive, or zip the folder after each session.

And lastly you can try:
On the local folder also, delete the current save, and remove the Backup part text of the back up save. That could potentially also help, if the backup save file is not corrupted as well.
