Help with Spurned Progeny please!

I can do everything hitless but the huge explosions he does. I can't seem to dodge it, can it be dodged? Can it be blocked? I'd really love to not have to farm for more mana stones, its only the one attack that's screwing me.

You have to LoS it I found.

Typically there's a pillar below the plaftorms you can stand behind while it goes off and be safe.

I already tried the walls but I guess I wasn't standing in the right spot, hopefully that'll work.

there are little half-destroyed walls on the pathways between the platforms on the second "floor" of the fight

yeah they stop his WMD, as many times as necessary. weird
