Vanguard armor when using Long/Grand weapons. Worse when twohanding.
I doubt it was intended, as the sets missing the sleeves you can see gaps in the player model that would normally be covered up, i also noticed a hole on the side of the ravager set that lets you look inside your player model.
imo it is the small details that shows the passion or lack there of....
I'm not sure... They mentioned changing the sin-piercer "belt" to avoid clipping and the only thing I can see different with the sin-piercer set is that the hood no longer covers the shoulders and is cut off at the neck (which ruins the entire set tbh.) Also there is a massive gap under the left arm on the armour too, which was probably covered up.
If we're mentioning gaps and clipping and other issues; Fitzroy's armour looks really wonky around the neck and you can see the upper shoulders clip through an untexture space. This is especially bad since Fitzroy's helm doesn't even cover it properly. The Cursed Helm has a visible gap around the jaw and you can see your neck and non-existent head through it; Tancreds armour has broken rigging for the chin on the coif and the strips hanging off the back of his shoulders don't move with them. The Orian Preacher garb has broken rigging on the left arm and it clips even when stationary, Ruiner boots have no skirt despite the icon, a lot of armour sets with shoulder guards tend to have said guard connected to the torso so they bend and stretch, this is ok because it's to make it look natural would require ♥♥♥♥-tons of bones for rigging, but the mournstead infantry armour and Tancreds armour both have shoulders that don't need to bend and should solely connect to the shoulders like the hallowed sentinel and crimson rector armour.
Also, while likely a design choice, a lot of helmets are smaller than your head so they make you look really broad when worn with bulky sets.
Oddly enough, the prole set does not have the missing sleeve issue, Every update i'm hopeful that the missing sleeves is fixed, i understand that not having the game falling apart is more important, but it ruins the look of otherwise very cool looking armor sets.
The issue for the sleeves can be fixed a number of different ways, have the sleeves vanish when you equip other gauntlets, setting a code for sleeves set to true for short gloves and gauntlets but setting it to false for the longer one, but that would need to be manually done for each armor piece.
If this was a intended choice, at is akin to throwing poop on nice art, and i will still call it out.
The Sin-Piercer head piece is missing the shoulder mantle. It worked fine before but was removed in an update for some strange reason, now it looks bad. If this was done to prevent clipping with other armors, then they should have added a system where parts are hidden depending on which pieces you're wearing, like it's done in other games.
The pants on the Crimson Rector armor are missing now. If you look under the chain skirt, your character doesn't have legs, and if you look behind the knee, the skin is exposed, which isn't how it's supposed to look as Crimson Rector enemies have pants.
The Holy Bulwark armor is missing its cape.
The Abiding Defender armor doesn't have a shirt underneath, so your armpits are completely exposed and looks horrible.
The Pureblade armor doesn't have chainmail underneath like the enemies do and the chain coif that is part of the helmet doesn't fit like it does with the Holy Bulwark helmet and the Hallowed Knight helmet.
There's probably a lot more visual bugs with different types of armor, and if they're intentionally going to make armor look bad to reduce clipping, then I'm gonna change my review to negative.
my favorite thing to do in these types of games is collect all the armor, but why bother with it right now. The game is still young so i still have hope, i believe it is more important to put the fire out than to fix the chipped paint.
What i want to see is the devs acknowledge the issue, say they will fix it but it is not a priority at this time, and i would be satisfied with that. The armor designs are top notch in this game so seeing them like this hurts....
Mine too, which is why I spent who knows how many hours farming gear in every other game like this so I could have them all. Now, I've spent so many hours farming pieces of gear in this game just to find out that they look worse compared to the look of the enemies.
I specifically farmed the Sin Piercer Helm just for the additional shoulder Shroud, only to find it's NOTHING like what I've seen. I really hope the Devs fix these armor glitches ASAP
