There exists a toggle to turn off online features. Feel free to use it if you do not like it.
That is simply why its called "invading". No one is gonna ask you if its conveniant for you to get invaded.
I mean it's not that hard to beat someone who get forced to spam light attack because any other action will instantly pull them into a vacum and unable to do anything
You aren't invaded in souls at any time except for DS2. In DeS you're only invaded while human. In DS1 you're only invaded while human, in DS3 you're only invaded while embered, in BB you're only invaded around bells, in ER you have to opt into invasions.
The pvp here is actually much better than souls games but it's annoying how frequent it is. I've had invasions literally back to back within five minutes. And in later levels it's almost constant. It's an annoying distraction.
I want the invasions but a longer timer is definitely needed. I don't want to be invaded literally every five minutes. A twenty minute timer would be perfect with an optional item to remove the timer for those that are looking to pvp.
That's on top of the game throwing you invasions at ridiculous times. In Dark Souls you get invaded shortly after you leave a bonfire or when you enter a new zone where an invader is active. That usually leaves you with an opportunity to get into a fair fight. In this game you get invaded at the end of a run when you're out of mana, out of heals, and a minute from having a red reaper after you.
I've just turned the online component of the game off. It isn't enjoyable because of how stupid and cheesy invasions are in this game. It's just not the same as Dark Souls where an invasion is a hard fight. Here you just get invaded by some cheating loser with no chance to win.
If you get Invaded, the Umbral timer is going up an i think in an Invasion it could be Paused OR when its full, and the Assasin Ghost is coming for you, it should attack the Invader also, or there have to spawn two of them or something else.
I had an Invader who was totally cheesy and always moved back and played on time, because he knew, that i will kill him with 3 hits.
It ended in an endless car-and-mouse game until the assassin got me. And i think thats a bad invasion design. Invaders can literally hide and wait
