My advice: ignore the haters, the game is very good, i've played all the soulslikes and this is one of the best ones, some really cool ideas here, it's got some issues but over all im enjoying it more than i enjoyed Lies of P which is also very good.
Agreed, though I havent played Lies of P. This is by far the best soulslike game I've played outside of fromsoft's own.
ER's weakest aspect was the open world even though it was what pulled so many into it and either made it trivial to grind levels or annoying to try to find the "next" level.
Here it feels like a constant dungeon once again what I grew to love to with Souls to begin with.
