1 - Go to your file explorer and paste the following:
C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\LOTF2\Saved\Config\Windows
2 - Open Engine.ini
3 - Copy the commands below then paste them at the bottom of the Engine.ini file and save it (some games will automatically remove the commands when you reopen it. if this happens right click > Properties > General > Read-only)

When a couple of lines of text from an end user fixes developer shortcomings, it's Aliens: Colonial Marines all over again. If you actually read the mod page, all it does is turn on switches that should've been turned on initially, like "Allow asynchronous loading" or "Allow multi core rendering" lol. Will confirm as broke scum who wants to make sure his computer can run the game before shelling out money to play with a friend, after a day of troubleshooting and figuring out how to get around the whole "The game doesn't decompress shaders properly" thing, this is what got my computer to stop hanging on loading screens. This man on Nexusmods is a GODSEND and I hope he knows that. Now that I can confidently play the game WITHOUT EAC, I at least know my system actually runs the game before I run into the inevitable EAC issues that'll plague me like when I was trying to play Armored Core 6 after benchmarking with a cracked version. I had 2 hours to figure out why the legit version wouldn't run before my refund window expired, definitely not trying to deal with that here on a game that many people are reporting issues on with newer hardware. (If people on 12th gen intels and 3000/4000 series cards are having issues running the game, the devs gotta do better, all of you unpaid shills gotta give it a rest). Game runs fine now on 3rd gen Intel and a 1660 GTX, yes, broke bastards like me are still playing games in 2023 on 2012 i5's with DDR3 lmao. Credit to the guy I'm quoting here, first line is "You need a better PC, don't you know", he's clearly being sarcastic but many people aren't when they spout that train of thought. Definitely screenshot this post if anyone wants to tell you that your 6th gen quad core is under spec and you should just stop being poor and upgrade when you air grievances about devs releasing games in an unfinished state.
