nah youre good bud. youre gettin stronger, but so are the mobs. head back to the starter area and youll see how much stronger you are. as much as i love this game, i wish they would have differentiated between the upgraded mobs.
I'm dealing alright damage. I use greatsword with two hands. If needed, holy weapon spell.
heh you got that right....i went from halfway thorugh swamp to buyin the key in the bellway.... holy ♥♥♥♥♥♥ difficulty jump..... made it to the boss after 9 deaths....i said nope and went back to the swampe. big ol nope. ill be back
Also feels like they gave certain mobs certain heavy resistances. Noticed this if I tried using a strong attack while dual wielding swords.
Maybe this is the case. I backtracked real fast and saw another path in the swamp, and those enemies seem to be consistent with what I was experiencing before this absurd difficulty jump. It's so bizarre because there really isn't any indication that that area isn't intended to be explored yet - it's literally just a door that you unlock with a key for 9k souls, with the exact same enemy types, and yet the health jumps up extremely high.
I am still worried that, by the time I get back to that area, enemies will still continue to be very tanky. Is there a certain level that they start being more reasonable down that path? A certain weapon upgrade? Or a certain point in the game? What's the threshold for that side path to be far more manageable, I wonder?
devs really need to put a "abandon all hope who enter here" sign on that door....
Like goint to the graveyard in DS1 directly at the start :D
