After a few attempts i stopped caring about the dogs and only went for her. It worked for me.

If you kill 2 first dogs you have time to get her to half health and when 3rd and 4th dog spawn murder them and finish her.

Thats not true (at least not on my play-through). Once you kill the 2 dogs it will take a few before another set come out, so you have time to beat on her for a little bit. Also, all you have to do is listen out for her bow attacks and she is useless long range. I believe It took me 2 tries to kill her and I actually enjoyed that boss fight quite a bit, especially for an add boss

I feel your pain because I killed her with a +0 weapon. 4 hits to kill a dog makes it endless dogs if you try to thin the herd. It basically came down to rolling behind her and landing a hit, rinse repeat. Your ranged weapon is some free damage.

Hmm, very true. If OP's weapon is not leveled up, I could see the longer fight being somewhat frustrating.

I have ran into many new areas/bosses where I go in get slaughtered and I'm like "nope". I then explore somewhere else to make progress until I get strong enough to come back.

If you're really stuck, here's how to kill her easily:
1. Remove cloths.
2. Focus on boss (target lock).
3. Go as far from boss as possible, to the edge of arena.
4. Just keep rotating around the arena, don't even need to run or dodge, just walk around. Hounds and arrows won't get you.
5. Wait till she "sits down" to cast the charged shot.
6. Move to her, again don't run, just walk to her otherwise hounds will reach you.
7. Hit her once or twice, and run back to the edge.
Keep repeating 4-7 and boss will die.

restarting the game stopped respawning hounds without a break, so I killed her after the second wave

thanks for the tips, apparently it was a bug with respawning dogs nonstop
