Corrupted Save: How do I fix?

So the game ran amazing and I was enjoying it....then the patch was released and now I cannot play my save. During a coop run my game crashed randomly (newly after patch), and when I went back on it will not let me run "Continue" at the menu. When I goto "load game" it just shows a "corrupted save". How do i fix this? I enjoy the game and want to play, but starting over due to no error of my own and losing all my progress makes me not want to touch this game again.

Sadly bruv you don't. Happened to me, happened to a few other ppl on here. I even pulled out the local save from my game files, nada. I had to reroll.

Game was not fit for release.

thats depressing. ive actually been waiting on a good soulslike for quite some time. lies of p was fun but didnt want to do ng+. Now forced to wait because man idk about losing hours of progress just because the company didnt finish their product. Gonna just try for refund then.

It might be good to back up your save files on your desktop. I haven't had an issue, and everyone I play with hasn't either but some people have gotten this.

so we can backup, but is there anything we can do with corrupted saves or is that a SOOL situation?

just had the same thing happen to me, that save is gonzo not gonne be salvageable sadly

Happened to me too: Was playing coop, helping other player to kill the first boss; In the cutscene after boss died , my PC crashed and after restart my save was corrupted. All progress lost!

Games a blast when it works, Just lost my save as well "Corrupted Save". That's to much time to replay and risk it again.

This has happened to me twice since Friday!! One with 7 hrs on save and this time with 8 hrs. I submitted for a refund and explained the situation. We'll see what happens. I will not spend any more of my time on this. My game crashed while on co-op.
