It's got all the right pieces to be a Soulslike classic, because the gameplay is great... but in a few specific areas the game is in a bad state right now. If you are only interested in playing solo, and can look past some of the unpolished jank (especially those menus), you will probably like it.
But the multiplayer is an absolute disaster. Avoid it entirely, you will have a baaaad time.
It's possibly they could still fix the game, but the question is WILL THEY and, if so, HOW LONG will it take?
It has a Spectral Realm like In the Soul Reaver series where you shift to if you die and only really die if killed there.
Dark Soul Reaver.
I like the game very much. It actually feels like a little dumped down Dark Souls 4. It has some flaws but overall if you like the original souls games you will have a good time.
yeah it's cool. most crybabies don't own the game anyways and just trolling or showing off their youtube video watching skills by presenting other folks opinions as their own and trying to be smart.
Generally, its hard to say since everyone likes different things.
While the game has the same "invasion" option as Elden Ring you can entirely opt out of all online features.
Now as for gameplay, I like it, the game seems not too easy but also is not overwhelmingly hard. Personally run the game on all max out ultra settings with no DLSS/FSR and do not experience any crashes or stutters.
Keyboard controls take a lot to get used to, and mouse sensitivity by default is a nightmare until you adjust it to whats comfortable for you.
I would say if you are still unsure, buy it, play for 2h and refund if its not to your liking.
The game has some very weird flaws... for example that the reach of weapon is very short but attack catapults your character 5 meters forwars. Very annoying but it is what it is. Still very enjoyable combat since you dodge like in Bloodborne.
If on the other hand you define Souls games by indirect story telling, interesting levels, exploration, a sense of discovery, the game giving you space to discover things on your own etc, you will probably enjoy this as well.
I agree
Sadly I would have to say no. The reason been the game swamps you with mobs I'm talking around 4 trash mobs with 2 elites. The trash mobs take around 5 hits to kill and the elites up to 20-25 hits oh and they can all kill you in one or two hits add that once you begin a attack you can cancel it so if you attack and suddenly see that one of the elites is going to hit you say goodbye to your health.
In short don't waste your money on this there are far better souls clones out there like nioh 1+2.
