It feels like I'm being interrupted. I'm trying to play a game and every 3 seconds I get sniped by someone who I can't even fight. At least lower their agro range if you're not going to reduce their numbers.
oh god this is so true. They looked at all the ganks in DS2 and went "what if it was infinite, and every so often you need to take out your lantern out and suck some blue balls mid-gank, or else the enemy gankfest will constantly regen health or one enemy will be invincible!"
BUT it's absolutely infuriating to re-do areas. The whole point is to discourage running through areas, but all it really achieves is making players stubbornly do this anyway, because clearing out enemies five times over is tedious and kills your heals.
The biggest problem as well is that the aggro range on enemies is ridiculous. They will follow you all over without let up. Unless you climb a ladder, which is funny.
I hated shrine of amana.
Sounds like this game isn't for you. The game is meant to have a large amount of enemies after you. Your character is the wielder of the Lamp of Immortality, of course everyone wants you dead, they want that lamp.
Its not just the ranged enemies, its just the whole "gankfest" DS2 school of difficulty that makes this both tedious and unfun. Its every map with DS2 Shrine of Amana number of enemies and projectiles.
Stop playing like that then you don't have to deal with the mess you made.
If you actually hit/dodge/jump into boxes or look really closely you can see monsters behind stuff trying to ambush you, instead of running around like a headless chicken.
And if you're having trouble in Umbral, in terms you have already shadows chasing you around, then the question is what the F are you staying in Umbral for so long, it literally has an eyemeter the more full it gets, more tougher enemies will spawn, more often, and when it's full, you will be chased down by a reaper who can't be killed (maybe can be, but that health pool for beginning is insane), unlike normal reapers who are in certain ares.
You are missing the point. While I've never personally stayed in Umbra long enough to see the super-reapers, I was more or so talking about just the normal non-umbra mode. Even without umbra there are still a ridiculous amount of enemies. I just said that in umbra mode, this already problematic enemy placements gets even worse.
