Seamless co-op what a joke.
To call what they put out seamless co-op is a joke. It is only true to the most literal of definitions. I feel lied to, I had hoped that what I heard was untrue. It is not what we were promised 25% of the vigor(souls) is bull crap. connecting player can die but not enter deaths realm lol, no shared loot or progression, "connectivity"(like you can even connect at all) problems up the wazzoo. This is not seamless co-op this is hardly co-op at all. I hope they fix this cause this is not the game we were promised at all. Fun solo though...

Yes, this is the game you were promised.
Not once did they claim you'd get all that progression and shared loot
They literally said the coop partner dies to be rezzed whereas if the host dies both get pulled into Umbral

You can be upset about it but don't make out like they went and lied to you lol

One player dying and not entering the Umbral is kindda logical, they're two different worlds.

But as much as I love the game I agree the rest should be patched. Guest players should be able to earn the same amount of souls, the same loot and make the same progress, absolutely.

You must be playing on another version of the game buddy. My Co-op pal and I are having a blast with this game.

Do you always make ♥♥♥♥ up and pass it off as what other people say?

You weren't lied to, you created a fantasy and decided the game had features that it was never stated to have to begin with.

Soooo.... Actually the 30% souls gain makes sense since the second player DOES NOT LOSE SOULS ON DEATH! You also get gear from enemies, so while maybe you don't get the static items (which can be traded with the host) you can still keep getting new gear from enemies.

I imagine, unless the host is a gigachad, the second player could essentially out level the host. Since they never lose their "vigor"

However, it does suck that when the host dies, it's game over. The second player can't finish off a boss fight.

I wonder if we'll get an actual seamless co-op mod like Elden Ring did at this point, lol

I'm just waiting for true coop souls like game. I was under the impression that at least progression would carry over. Guess Ill be skipping this one

Only "story" progression doesn't carry over, I actually think this makes sense. You get to keep all the XP and loot you gained. But you can, technically, play through the entire campaign together.

If they wanted to do true seamless, they could just have both players lose souls link them in whatever realm during boos fights if one goes down both transport to umbral and than do what nioh 2 did for death and let whoever is up finish the fight no matter who it is.

Tbh I like progression not being for both, means I can join mates world and he can drop a 2nd unique of a weapon I like that he doesn't want for duel wielding joy

Im under the impression player 2 only gets 1/4 the souls and nothing else.

I think that's what a lot of people were wanting nioh 2 has pretty decent co-op but not all of the systems are great.
