Grainy picture
I'm an hour in currently running at 900p. However the whole screen has a very grainy/fuzzy look to it. If you spin in a circle you can see it. It's as if it's trailing behind you. If you never move it looks better. I tried different fsr options, scaling etc with no help. Turning off fsr helped some but every game I've played I play with fsr and never and issue. File grain is off also. Anybody know why this is happening?

Film grain set to zero ?
Even with that it does seem a bit grainier than usual on RTX as well.

Wonder if anyone else has issue/ resolution?

Wheres is there an option to set film grain to zero. I'm on an rog ally. I have just yes or no

Okay first off why on earth are you even playing at 900p? That's your issue right there. Secondly it's called film grain, remember the original mass effect? That was film grain galore, just turn it off in settings

just disable film grain ... my screen is clear as day at 2550 x 1440 resolution with everything at ultra

I already stated film gran is off. It's an 8 inch screen so 900p is fine.

You need to update your monitor to something modern and decently sized like 24 inches if you don't want your games looking like ♥♥♥♥

my guess if its leaving trails, especially around the character when panning the view its the graininess of FSR at low resolutions

Disable FSR. You'll have much lower FPS by disabling it, though. But the picture will be a lot clearer.

Pick your poison.

After one year i found the solution: put Nvidia DLSS in "yes" and the grain Will go away
MrCupCake Music Aug 16, 2024 @ 10:39am
Hey idk if you ever figured it out, but I think I did. Film grain is off "obviously" and dlss is set to quality with everything maxed.

It finally looks great! What was happening with my game, is within the Nvidia control panel (not GeForce experience) I had a setting located in the "Manage 3d settings" called "image scaling" that was set to on. Once I disabled that, well the game looks beautiful. I always thought there was some odd sharpening going on with the game no matter what I tried, and It really took away from the experience.

Now it just looks clean. I hope that helps if you never figured it out, I finally just did.
