WTF is wrong with you ppl in Metacritic?

they gave this game 76/100 while Assassin's Creed Mirage score is 77/100 .....

WTF !!!!!! are you telling me Lords of the Fallen with such complex world + deep gameplay + awesome UE5 graphics can't beat AC Mirage which comes short in all of those aspects????

Metacritic is an average of other critics, which are all useless imo.
You dont need people to tell you what you like..or do you...better get them to tell you when where and how to live your life too

Metacritic only really mattered if you're trying to sell your game in physical stores. Not saying their reviews were ever valid. Just that's why a developer/publisher might care about the rating. Anyway, not going to get into their incentives problems; I guess I'm calling it that. Anyway, it's probably for the better you're unaware of the drama that was going on back in the day.

But why should the reviews from critics matter? Id say my little pony is the best game ever if Id get paid for it

Cuz maybe some ppl don't have time or money to experience all the games in the market.
so they look forward to critic reviews to decide which game to pick next.

Ah, the 75 is from the critics. This game got a lot of very high scores from critics, and those critics clearly got it very wrong.

User score is 6.7, still too high, but closer to where it should be.

I think some folks have yet to come to terms with the fact that they paid $70 to play the alpha (possibly beta) version of the game. No offense, of course, but that is what I felt like when I was playing it.

I definitely feel scammed by the devs. The combat and some of the design decisions (fairy-parry, whither DMG on parry, no backstabs, relying on mob density for difficulty for example) work against everything fun about souls-likes.

Metacritic is a meme. But that aside, 76 to 77 isn't all that great a rating anyway.
In school scores, that's about a C-.

A good meta critic score is 90+. A very good meta critic score is 95+. 80+ is flawed gem. Below is average territory.
