Short guide to better performance.
Change both Reflection & Global Illumination quality to Medium.
On settings High and above, the game forcefully adds ray tracing.

This is pretty obvious but install the latest drivers, some NVIDIA users reported gaining huge amounts of frames after updating. AMD I'm not so sure, my game's been running fine since the beginning without updating. After updating it still works okay. PSA the 23.9.3 driver has reportedly have some issues. I recommend updating to the newest if you haven't or downgrading to 23.9.2.

Enable hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling if you're using windows 11.

After you launch the game chill in the main menu for about 5minutes to make sure all shaders have been compiled. For me it made such a huge difference in watching cutscenes when I don't instantly go into the game.

I can't stress this enough DO NOT run this game on a HDD. We're WAY past HDD's in 2023. If you have the game on an HDD you will stutter and crash no matter how strong your PC is. It even says on the specs recommendations to only run this game on an SSD.

If you have a low-end PC these are the best settings
Graphics Preset: Custom
View Distance: Medium
Shadows: Low
Anti-aliasing: Medium
Texture quality: Medium
Visual Effect quality: Low
Post-processing quality: Medium
Reflection quality: Low
Global Illumination quality: Low
Foliage quality: Medium
Motion Blur: Off
Film Grain: Off
Chromatic Aberration: Off

Personally I haven't had a single issue with the game except for a single crash. I'm rocking a Ryzen 7 5700 and a 6700xt which is about recommended specs. I'm really curious if any of those with "abysmal performance" what are your PC specs?

motion blur was the big thing i think is whats causing the crashing i was getting like 7fps and even 1 when booting up but when i tirned it off i was getting ALMOST stable 60 it still a little inconsistent for my tastes but its serviceable (which its never good being serviceable it should be amazing)
I have a 6600xt but playing at 1440p so I’m struggling
