My greatsword is a lunge one handed. Two handed, it's a swing.
Have a controller, btw. Never liked playing on it, and played through DS 1, 2 and 3, as well as Elden Ring on key+mouse.
And no, the "lunging" does not happen in any of FromSoft's games.
Avoid the XBox Elite controllers at all costs. They feel like a tank, but break more easily than candy glass.
My brilliant idea is to use a peripheral the game was meant to be played with. These were not developed for PC. Demons' Souls came out on PS3 my dude. And the original LotF came out on Xbox. The KB/M option is there but not recommended nor used by most people.
Lunging most definitely exists in FromSoft games. Maybe not to this extent. But this is also not a FromSoft game...
nice, elden ring especially was AWFUL with how much you needed to sprint around in combat, so it's fantastic to hear attacks in this game actually close distance
hallelujah. finally we lose the weird remnants of console port and take advantage of the fact the keyboard has more than a dozen buttons!!
ngl, both of these 'complaints' made me more excited to play once the performance issues get ironed out
and to people saying "just use a controller" - no. this game is on PC, the PC controls need to be good. I'm not playing a game that has a controllable camera with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ controller lol
Lotf? I wish someone do the same thing too.
Yeah you are right, the combat is different, in a bad way. Even in comparison to the original title. The first games combat was comparable to a souls game as far as the weight and feel of the weapon, this game suffers pretty badly from a lack of that, not to mention all the other issues that were easily avoided but somehow not addressed. Maybe CI didn't know when it was going to be released.
