Wierd lines in umbral wolrd (graphic bug?)
Hi,
I have some wierd lines going up from down on whole screen while being in umbral world, and only then, in normal world I have no issues. I'm playing on ultra with dllss, gpu 4070 ti.
Any ideas?

I don't know if you're describing the same thing as what I saw. But switching DLSS without restarting the game can cause a strange visual effect.

I was about to make a post about this! I have them as well, no matter what settings I'm using. Normal world looks fine, but Umbral has those weird squiggly lines going upwards.

Well, glad that I'm not the only one. This his topic should be pinned. Those lines seems very disturbing. I thought something is wrong with my monitor or GPU.

Up,
I noticed that higher resolution improves visual, it's less visible on 4k.

Same issue messed with all settings in game. Even tried forcing vsync on with nvidia control panel and no change. Looks like screen tearing but since those aren't fixing it I'm stumped.

Same here, came looking for some kinda solution on this. It's incredibly noticeable when you stop moving in the umbral. Looks like a busted VHS tape in HD if that makes any sense

I've been seeing this as well. Since it's only in umbral I was figuring it was intentional (some sort of distortion effect) until I saw this post. It'd be good to get confirmation if this is supposed to be how it looks or not

I'm getting vertical lines in non-umbral too. Just when not moving camera though. Pretty immersion breaking. Using a 7800xt.

Makes perfect sense to me. The effect seems to disappear completely while moving.

Good advice, although my framerate takes a pretty big hit if I go over native resolution :steamsad:

Its werid that they only appear when you're not moving and keep the camera still. Doesn't seem like a feature to me.

I have it to, play coop with my friend and he doesn't get it but settings are the same :( Currently just more of a reason to not stand still in umbral :steammocking:

i'm confident that those are intentional

At this point I kind of like them. The broken old VHS horror experience.

Sounds a lot like something a friend of mine went through, but in another game. For them is was just turning on V-synk, but that was another game, not even sure you have that option here.
