FPS tanks when I attack

What the title says.

FPS is solid 144, I can look around and everything no big deal no change, FPS is still capped. But the moment I start attacking (the air, not an enemy or a wall) my FPS tanks down to around 60.

Tried turning all settings down to low and stuff, doesn't make a difference.

Anyone else getting this?

My guess is, the anti-cheat or DRM implementation is scuffed (like what happened with RE8) and it's causing this.

Notably: It seems to be triggered by your attack ending. So if you attack one and stop, you get hit by a performance drop. If you keep attacking to keep your combo going, you don't get the drop until you stop attacking. Definitely something sussy going on lads.

as always every souls-like is locked for fighting and physics to 60fps because otherwise the fights and timings wont work.

Anyone know how to fix this? Its a major issue and super annoying. Drivers are up to date. I have a 4090. Whenever I attack, roll etc. the FPS drop from 144 to around 50-60 for about 2 seconds.
