This uses UE5 the next gen version of the engine, you can not expect that it runs the same. I am fine with the performance of Remnant 2 and it uses the UE 5 as well.
Take your pathetic Lies of P and go play it. Why did you come here?
Absolute lies... You can go into settings and set it to 120fps, and the game run perfectly fine at 120.
That is just total and utter ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥! Not "every souls-like" has 60 FPS locked. From Softwares originals have all locked FPS but most clones have not. BB has 30 FPS lock on PS4/5 but there is a unofficial patch that puts in to 60.
In fact most souls likes DO NOT have FPS lock on PC! And you can unlock it for Elden Right with Flawless Widescreen for example and it works just fine with unlocked FPS.
And Unreal Engine never had any issues with physics being tied to FPS ever, the engine is now written that way, I do not now why the devs of lies of P locked it at 60, maybe just for stability but I am pretty sure there is a way to unlock it and it will NOT mess up the physics. But I can always be wrong, maybe the devs coded their own weird physics in but I highly doubt it.
// ROFL based on the comment above me you are even wrong about lies of P and you can set it to 120 lol, so not even a mod is needed. Why make claims about ♥♥♥♥ you have no clue about? Do I need to give you a lost of soulslikes that have no FPS lock at all? I think I do not waste my time.
I am well aware of the use of UE5. I dont think it adds anything of value to the actual gameplay and would have rather had the game built on UE4.
You talk about minimalistic design as if its a bad thing. Doom eternal is low polygon, low effects, and it looks ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing and runs at 400+ fps on max settings. Imagine if remnant 2 had the same kind of optimization.
In fact I didnt purchase remnant 2 for the same reason, game runs like ♥♥♥♥.
Its clear that UE5 isn't ready and developers arent ready to use it.
Gameplay and optimization will always be more important than whatever flashy technical upgrades come with the next engine.
Because i want the game to succeed. We need more quality souls likes on the market. This game looks really good and has a lot of potential but performance will hold it back.
Thanks for your thoughtful contribution to the discussion. Why did you come here?
And I would never call Doom Ethernal "low poly, low effects". ID Tech is also an amazing engine. Also UE4 can be different from game to game. The latest Star Wars for example was very ♥♥♥♥♥♥ optimized on release and even after the performance patches it has a low more going on, lots of wide outside area levels, lots of details, they squeeze every last bit out of UE4 so obviously is does not run as good as some other title with the same engine. When UE4 came out the game were not even close to as advanced as they are now.
UE5 clearly is perfectly ready for devs and consumers that is why major titles like Remnant 2 are already a great success, that is why CD Project Red dropped THEIR OWN VERY ADVANCED ENGINE in favor of UE5 and they are working on the next WItcher on it as we speak. You are just another clueless dude spreading lies. Next Tomb Raider will use UE5 ... UE5 it totally production ready and its being deved in by the best game devs on the planet RIGHT NOW.
Gameplay always stay more or less the same. Look at the success of remasters, when games from 20 years ago release again with better graphics people buy them (again) and the gameplay is still fun UNCHANGED 20 years later. I mean I would appreciate more to be done in gameplay as well but its not happening and when it comes to Soulslikes I do really need more, it just works like it is.
Man im on a 3070 i wouldnt say my gpu sucks...
If you can enjoy games that stutter more power to you.
