Does anyone else hate preorder items?
I know there's this debate on whether or not you're a bad person for pre-ordering a video game, but I edge on the side of pro pre-ordering if the game is simply a genre and type of game I really like. The one thing I really get sick of though is this silly idea of giving the player bonus items for pre-ordering.

This is a problem for Resident Evil games too, extra bonus healing items, extra ammo, some crazy suped up handgun or something. For me these single player games are best enjoyed on their hardest mode and then the fun of it is trying to survive and get through this nightmare. Lords of the Fallen seems to have similar bonuses, 5x healing items, 5x magic items, etc. Why? It just bothers me that they give you these extra helpful items to make the game slightly less harder. I know someones gonna say that it's only 5 small healing items and it means nothing, but that's not really the point I'm trying to make, it's the idea behind it.

I just find it annoying lol. Anyone else share this feeling?

I don't care what people do with their money. however this game does have PvP so having P2W in it is interesting, although cheats and such will be a bigger problem then any little effect some little p2w items have.

Pay to win? I wasn't aware of pay to win being in this game.

Oh you mean the healing items for pre-ordering.

By P2W i am simply referring to something that gives player an advantage in any capacity by spending more money or in this case they are utilizing fomo.

If you don't want it you can always tick any of the DLC's off in your library section on Steam.
It works fine for Resident Evil games as well as pretty much every other game with any kind of DLC attached.

It won't impact your enjoyment of the game in the vanilla state if you don't want it to, it's always optional.

By p2w, do you mean the Dark Crusader class? If that's what you mean, it's actually pay2lose than pay2win because from what I've seen the cleric class that everyone got in the beginning is actually better, believe it or not.

If you mean the pre order consumables, they aren't really pay2win since you don't pay extra for them. you just get them if you pre order.

I think those three stacks of bs items are great as a pre-order bonus. Better than something limited outside of pre-ordering, or having to use mtx to buy it later (like the dlc mission pre-order bonus for AC:Mirage).

I dont really see why some people are losing their mind over this.

As for anyone wondering, the xp items are worth 1200/1800 xp to level up, depending on which class you start as.

Not this again, in theory it does, but in practical, not even 0.01%

So don't use them? Better yet, when the game start, make sure to destroy your items, go make your life harder.

My problem is that the pre order bonus sucks as a pre order bonus, give me some nice weapon or armor skin y'all!

Yeah I do that particularly for the RE games. It's not something that annoys me so much that it stops me from buying a game, it's just something that irks me and I wondered if people felt the same way about it.

To be clear, I'm not losing my mind over this lol. Just a simple topic of conversation... I'm not trying to setup a boycott here.

And once again no matter how small by definition it is P2W no matter how small.

Except, there is no pay, it is free, so it can't possibly be called P2W, went over this.
