A failure like the original (2014)

I really wanted this game to be successful cuz we got Bloodborne at home which is Lies of P already and it is good enough as a souls-like game.
Even though it's still too far away of being awesome like what FromSoft made.
But judging from the review score right now in metacritic (77) and opencritic (74), i think the best souls-like this year are going for Lies of P.
It's a shame, because the trailer looks really good.
I think i'm gonna skip on this and finish Lies of P on Gamepass, and then go back to the master of this genre's games.
FromSoftware is untouchable.

Why do you care about metacritic scores at all? Just play the game yourself when it's out and make your own decision. This isn't console where there aren't refund windows of 2 hours of play, like there SHOULD be.

Test it out, and if it sucks then refund it.

Eh i don't have that much money so i could buy and try every games for 2 hours and then refunded it if i don't like it, and Steam won't allow me to refund that many times.
That's why for me, scores like metacritic and opencritics helps me decide which game to buy, and i prefer the high scoring game, at least 80 or above like Lies of P.
90+ is a must buy for me which is why i bought Resident Evil 4 Remake, Street Fighter 6 and Baldur's Gate 3, THAT if i have the money though.

Reviews are pretty much also opinion based. Some like different things like people complain about invasions vs people who praise it. Look through some reviews not just one and form your opinion on what those people say to you rather than just listening to one guy speak.

It doesn't have a From Software Logo. Anyone could have predicted this. BIG Asset Flip vibes...

Well i did enjoy the 1st Lords ,in fact i liked it enough to make several play thrus ,including the DLC's .

It's not that bad like you think. The overall atmosphere and the environment design looks stunning. The combat and some boss fights need some polishing but it's definitely not a bad game like what metacritic says. If you like dark souls you will surely love this game imo.

I'm making a comparison. I never said it was on Game Pass. The Good Souls-like from 2023 is though.
