every game ive played only get frame generation with 4000 cards. sooo i dont see a issue as it is limited to 1 card type the rtx 40 series.

FSR3 just launched and is only available in 2 games so far, I dont even think AMD has released the SDK for it yet. Give it some time.

Just found this so apparently you didn't do much research.

Apparently you didn't even read what you linked.

It only talks about DLSS frame generation, and according to people who played the pre-release version, playing with FSR doesn't support frame gen at the moment. OP is correct.
Cool, then I stick to my original post.

I downloaded a beta Adrenalin driver yesterday which allowed me to activate frame gen throught adrenalin settings on my RX 6750 XT. I just selected the game in adrenalin and the option showed. I tested on Baldur's Gate 3 and it worked. Game went from about 55 fps in 4k to 100 fps

I hear it doesn't handle motion well, does it seem blurry when you move around?

Unfortunately I only tested it for half a minute, but I didn't notice anything blurry. Another problem is that I play on a 60 hz TV, so it doesn't make any difference when playing above 60 fps. I only activated it to test. I ended up leaving it deactivated.

FSR3 is similar to DLSS3 in naming that hides more than 1 technology.
FSR3 can use upscaling (with added Native AA mode), on top of it - optional frame generation (integrated in the game).
Driver level AMD Fluid Motion Frames (AFMF) is only avaiable in preview driver and isn't a "FSR3 FG".

So does LotF support only new upscaling part of the FSR3?

the article says it will be the 2nd to support it after immortals of aveum but they forgot about forspoken. and seeing that frame generation is not available in the game, i guess its coming in later update or the reporter confused frame gen with fsr 3

I had to activate frame generation (fluid frames) inside adrenalin in my RX 6750 XT. I don't find any FG option inside game conf.
PS: I downloaded a beta driver that add AFMF (can activate frame generation on any game) support to rx 6000 series

That is not FG, that is a completely different tech. The first preview version of the game had AMD FSR 3 FG too, you could activate it separately from Nvidia DLSS FG, but they removed it with a small quick fix. The game will have AMD FG probably after launch

If you go to in-game settings and read on FSR it says there it will have Frame Gen as they didn't remove the text, only the options

Furthermore, Lirik who leaked the options initially, was forced to remove his twitch video from the archive cause the AMD FG is still under some NDA.

AFMF is frame generatiion, but activated through driver and works in any DX12 game. The disavantage is that it's not tested, can have worse performance and graphical artifacts. When the developer let it to activate inside game options, we suppose they tested it and improved someway.

AMD 6900xt / 6950xt runs this game very good I can say with AFMF.

160 fps average in a very rough part of the game in the Swap with water, fog, fire all around.

1440P selected but with FSR Quality with AFMF on. Everything is on ULTRA, Except I only put Ray Tracing 2 options to Medium. That is it.

So, they turned off game specific implementation of FG since there were issues not only with this particular game but with AMD drivers in general. This is the reason they have not added any manual trigger for it like they have for DLSS. I asked the devs and what they said is that it will be enabled once AMD and they can fix all issues since it has already been implemented for the game and was even available earlier builds.

I wouldn't hold my breath for it since things at AMD can take it's time. I am choosing not to go AFMF as that isn't mature yet either. From what I've seen, frames drop down to FSR raw in complex scenes where you'd need it the most anyway.

Yeah but try playing Lords of the fallen with it. It works look on my channel Steelninja's gaming on youtube I got like upwards of 200 fps at 4k auto settings. But it crashes because the driver that has the AFMF preview for frame generation doesn't have any of the game ready drivers which makes it pointless. So I uninstalled it and installed the LOTF game ready driver to stop the crashes. (I haven't tested it yet just about too) I'll use AFMF when it launches., works great though.
