Game Difficulty in Co-op Mode
Recently, I started playing Lords of the Fallen with a friend. Before starting, I read tons of reviews and watched a bunch of videos about how bad the game was.

I was specifically interested in cooperative play.

In the comments, I saw information stating that the invited player receives three times less experience than the host. Also, that the boss only targets one player while completely ignoring the other. In addition, there were many reviews about poor optimization, unbalanced locations, and an overwhelming number of enemies.

However, after playing for a few hours, I noticed that none of this was true. My friend and I received the same amount of experience, and boss fights felt fine. As I understand, all these issues have already been fixed with patches.

Now, my question is:

Does the difficulty of the game change when a second player joins? In other words, does the difficulty of enemies and bosses scale? Or does nothing change—neither HP nor enemy behavior—making co-op significantly easier?

Since I couldn’t find up-to-date information on forums, and older reviews were often inaccurate because everything has been patched, I decided to ask here. Can anyone clarify?

Didn't matter before, doesn't matter now.
The reviews were made by peeps who couldn't beat the game when it originally released.
Now the game is in many different ways easier, you can add few stuff back, but it's still way easier.

In terms of bugs being fixed yeah, it's better, the bugs were pretty much random, for some peeps everything worked fine while co-oping, while for others it was utterly broken.

Also you can redo the same ng+0 without going to a higher ng+1+.

I never noticed any difference when doing co-op and that was when the game released, there prolly was some scaling going on, either your characters scaled to be similar, because of pvp or maybe enemies scaled because there are two of you.
Some other topics I found that the guest scaled down by 50% and host did 20% less dmg, also another topic was where invader isn't scaled down at all, while the host does basically nothing against the invader.
Maybe all of it has changed, who knows, nobody knows, devs never have said properly how co-op/invasion scaling works for everything.

Anyway, you can do co-op from start to finish together.
When the co-op buddy dies you can resurrect them on the spot or at the vestige without resetting the enemies, at the cost of 1 healing consumable, co-op buddy while dead can spectate you, the game won't send them back to their world.
If the host dies then the co-op buddy is teleported alongside the host back to the last vestige.

When you're doing ng+0 now it's whatever, you can just check the news sections and see all the stuff they added to the game, when you start a new game you can play the game like it was a rougelike, randomized stuff, items can come preupgraded depending on your level, adjust amount of enemies, adjust vestige amount etc.

You can read the 50 reasons, it pretty much sums up the game at the current state, minus the new patches.

Maybe I can leave a question here =D My boyfriend and I are bored and need something until Nightreign drops ^^ What about the Loot in the Game? Is it shared, do both get the same loot or how does it work?

random loot drops for either one separately
boss and miniboss loot drop, that get automatically given to your inventory, only some stuff the guest player gets
you can also share loot by dropping it, even stuff that lets you upgrade the healing consumable

not needed, but if you want to get item discovery runes
only the host can "kill" a loot mimic, which gives also a chance for the guest player to get rewards from it, before "killing" the loot mimic prepare both of yourselves with the highest item discovery stuff, like keep some equipment separately with the runes that give you just item discovery
Pumpkin mask : +30%
Nhelaq rune : +10% (can wear 3 of them)
Ring : +15 (can wear 2 of them)
Umbral eye of Marco the axe : +20% (primary slot)
Umbral eye of Ethryg : +30% (secondary slot)(some old saves have multiple of 'em, before it was patched)(when you put it in the main slot it gives a permanent buff, but after killing an enemy with a grievous strike, you prolly have to do 100 or 1000 kills to get 1 item discovery, some say it's 25% when doing the kill, but the buff remains as long it's equipped, though the buff stack amount should remember itself even if you unequip it, so you only have to do 1 grievous kill to activate the buff)
Lucky paw : +200%
Charmed paw : +300%
Lucky paw + charmed paw : +400% (instead of +500%)
