Paladin's Burden literally unkillable

Every single run I've done of this game, this is by far the hardest boss I've been stuck on and unable to kill. And after looking up what it gives me, I'm refusing to fight this guy anymore. He can go jump off an umbral cliff for all I care. I bought the deluxe version of the game, so i already have the dark crusader class, i don't care for the armor or the sword, I'm gonna refuse to fight this guy until they do something about his INFINITE HEALING

He is hard compared to other bosses because he has increased HP and of course you have no second chance like other bosses. These are my advice
1) judge the damage you do If you see the damage is not really much delay the fight. You don't want to spend minutes chipping away his health on a fight like this. Level up more/update your weapon and come back later.
2) he is slow and he doesn't have reaching attack, so you can attack and kite him if you want
3) when he cast the holy briar spell, leave him be and run away from the spell. don't dodge just keep running from the spell
4) when the spell ends I think he will heal sometime, just attack him (lunge or run attack) and he'll stop healing
5) stay close and dodge his attacks and hit at the end of the combo. Eventually kite him if you need to heal. you can use heal consumable as well since he is slow to reach you anyway.
6) when you need to heal, bait him to attack you, run back and heal
7) use poison or any dot
rinse and repeat
