Umbral Armor Quest broken

Why is the Umbral Quest still not working after the Patch?
Performing the putrid mothers embrace gesture is supposed to play the sound and extinguish all the braziers but as before the update it still doesn't work for me after. Are there any hidden requirements for starting the quest?

When the update first launched the sound did play but it was late so i gave up trying to complete it and weeks later before my save file got corrupted i tried to do the quest again and the sound wouldn't play so yes i've experienced it being bugged.
I was going to try again after restarting the game but save got corrupted.

same it gets bugged by starting it and then not finishing it right away

My boyfriend has this issue. He heard them but didn't finish the quest. Now it won't work. I finished mine. It is a long annoying quest and I nearly took a break. Lucked out that I kept going just a little longer and got it.

i literally made a umbrall character just for this and now i cant get it, hope devs fix it soon
