Is bleed usefull?
Hi all.

I have tryed to get some info about the bleed effekt on enemies. Some people says that it gives a one time damage proc and then makes the enemey take more damage afterwards.

I have tryed it, and to me it seems like it gives a very small amount of damage when it procs but the enemey does not take increased damage afterwards.

Am I missing something og does bleed only gives a small amount of direct damage when it procs and nothing else?

Thanks :)

Not as powerful as Elden Ring that is for sure. It doesn't feel better or worst based on my experience. I didn't do any test either, I just make builds around it for aesthetics and theme for fun and immersions.

This isn't a popular game because tubers took the negativity of the community and cashed on it. So, you will have a harder time getting good info about the mechanics on youtube.

Small amount of damage + next 5 instances of damage deal more damage (it's like 5-10% more I think).

It's pretty good especially since nothing seems to be particularly resistant to bleed apart from umbral enemies.

Are you sure about that? I dont know if my game is bugged or what, becouse I hit the enemy for 67 per hit, and after bleed it stil is 67 damage per hit.

It increases physical damage. If your weapons do other damage types (like the pieta lightsaber that does holy damage exclusively) you get no bonus

I seriously don't think anyone knows how bleed works.
When you use a Bloodbane ring with like say a - Forsaken Grenade the poison starts, doing like 29-40 damage. Occasionally I'll see about 5 ticks with blood gushing doing 67 damage. This happens twice during the poison dot.

This is the poison ticks being buffed by the bleed effect, there is crazy good synergy between the forsaken grenade and the bloodbite ring,

Bleed is Radiance builds DoT status effect.
Smite is the burst damage on proc.

Both are great

So if my weapon does 60 physical damage and 19 holy damage then it wont work at all?

The physical portion of your attack power will do more damage; the holy will remain the same.

Smiting however will increase an enemy's vulnerability to holy damage.

not as powerful as frostbite, but still useful, especially in combination with other DoTs.

Are you sure about this?

I have tryed useing Hallowed Condemnation and thats physical only with 70 bleed. I am at bellroom waypoint and fighting an Ardent Penitent that spawns just by that waypoint. I am 2 handing the weapon and I do 139 damage per hit, after the bleed effect procs I still do 139 damage.

Am I doing something wrong here or does bleed just dont work as many think it does?
Well, it seems like people are unsure how bleed works, but for whan I have testet, it seems only to give a minor damage proc, I belive the proc is based on the enemys health, but not sure. Bleed does not seem to increase physical damage.

So far, I see fire and ignite is way better. But if you fight bosses or mob with high fire resistance. fire and ignite don't even do anything. The sundered monarch doesn't feel anything thing when hit by the most OP combi, twin Grinning axe.
