Is there a point to umbral finishers?

Im farming an anguisher for vigor and large upgrade shards right now and I just found out about the umbral finisher.

it took me a second to get one off on him but im still receiving around 700 vigor per kill with the umbral finisher and moth ring in umbral.

I was told there would be more vigor dropped and a chance at more loot but I really haven't noticed anything different other than now im spending more time killing him.

is it bugged? am I blind or lack the ability to count?

what's the point of the finisher? I'm not seeing anything extra dropping.

Umbral Finisher I think gives you better chance that enemies drop loot and better quality loot, not more vigor

Umbral Finishers have a way higher chance to cause Rune drops, if the enemy is capable of dropping a rune.

I honestly do it to farm large deralium, seem to have higher chance while at Umbral too but maybe I am just overthinking it with a tinfoil hat.

If you have the umbral eye of ethryg socketed that would cause thing to drop more often. I've only seen runes myself but I don't often use the lamp when looking for things like Deralium.

With that in mind maybe I should start doing that.

After you unlock the ability to use runes, umbral finishers guarantee a rune drop if they have one they are able to.

As for the higher chance to drop items I've seen mixed opinions, not sure if it actually does improve drop rates for the rest of their items. Anecdotally I feel like it might, but that could be because I usually do them when I have farming gear on so...not sure.
