My character just got stronger after the change, ya know?
Oh also you don't fall off when attacking at an edge anymore.
How? The game is actually very linear where most main areas lead the player through one path. If a person can navigate through Dark Souls 1 they can Navigate through this game.
I'd say the level design and graphics are what make the game enjoyable.
I don't have weapon variety nor build variety, nor enemies variety, nor some great lore.
But the scenery, graphics and level design are great.
As I recall, I had to remember about 3 ways max I had to explore, including the path I was in. Many of those were paths easily remembered with a vestige as a starting point, like in the fen I had one path up the mountain up the ladder near the vestige.
At the very least you can write them down, it's not that hard.
yeah, it's like a straight line that splits into 2 or 3 in main areas, minus the skybridge paths and some backtracking paths.
If it was obviously linear then people would whine about it more.
I know it's probably not the most popular opinion regarding Lords Of The Fallen, but your gripe is precisely why I love this game.
I'm obsessed with exploring every nook and cranny and being lost until I do adds so much fear and immersion for me, especially when approaching blind corners that could be what results in me getting my $h1t pushed in.
For me, the dual planes of existence in this game are executed perfectly, and the logical interconnectivity in the general level design is cream of the crop and top notch.
I love it.
