She should've said that she needed a healing spell, but she kept saying "get this thing off me" so i tried to carefully remove it with a knife and she burst into dust, cussed me out and then i got invaded.
Questline, not a bug.
Then she should've said "cast a healing spell on me" also she mentioned that the monsters didn't decapitate her because she was solid stone, but yet when i striked her once with a meezly shank she crumbled like wood ash, so yeah, i was paying attention and yeah, it is a bug...a bug in the design of the questline.
Much better than "take random guesses what i mean and if you guess wrong you get penalized"
If it makes you feel any better, her quest conflicts with another npc quest, so you can't do both in one playthrough anyway. I think you have to choose between her and Isaac's quests.
Exactly, she already said that monsters tried to decapitate her and then gave up, so she shouldn't be absurdly easy to destroy, giving the player many attempts at guesses. If the knife attack wouldn't have worked i would've tried something else.
I did similar but by mistake, instead of pushing the lamp and holding light attack (like with the blue umbral things) I forgot to hold the lamp and attacked her.
...this right here. According to the lore she shouldn't be easily killed because she's stone.
