Anyway, to the OP I guess the assassin guy with 2 knives would probably suit you the best to start with I assume. But it's gonna be hard until you master your timings.

Rolled assassin this go and the light armor, dual dagger with poison/bleed procs is fun AF. High risk high reward. Gives me World of Warcraft Rogue vibes
I think this was in the 2014 version of the game. At least i dont notice a diffrence between full heavy and full light
Yeah i go for light encumberance too, doing ng2 ironman now, light speed is very good.
From there you see what you find better for yourself.
Radiance with Pieta weapon can be good too
People will tell you not to pick condemned because "it's hard" but that is almost immediately alleviated via leveling, the only thing that may be difficult is the starting weapon is meh.
If you don't want to do condemned for build purity (or think it might be too difficult) then you're looking at mournstead infantry or exiled stalker
