Also, if you're in umbral you have the advantage. You just need to stall them for the reaper. If they rush you and just gank you, theres not really much you can do.
I've gotten a few 1v1s here and there but I think that may be when im playing after midnight. (I work overnight schedule and try to align my sleep schedule with it.)
There's a been a few invasion where I would fight a guy with a crossbow using I think explosive sacred arrows. One arrow does all of my health and Most of my points are in vitality.
An other time, I played in coop with a crossbow user using the same arrows and decimate everithing and displays around 1100 above enemies healthbars.
If it is actually how much damage it does, how do you not die in one hit from this arrow ?
They can balance pvp and pve separately. There used to be way more one shots.
Im pretty sure the stupid damage scaling mechanic the devs have for pvp bugs out and sometimes allow for players to do full damage... one of the reasons why I think it should be done away with and players hp scaled up so that you can actually survive 1100 dmg.
That bolt does pure Holy damage, so if people have poor Holy resistances then they will get shredded. My brother is using a cross with those bolts. Consumes a lot of ammo though.
My only complaint about invaders is when they are way overleveled to where they 1-2 shot and i do very little dmg when im built like a tank with a focus on radiant dmg.
Thanks
In a 1v2 fight but with everyone of equivalent power, the one time you have the upper hand is if you invade and spawn right next to the team while they alrready fighting mobs. If they're not, the invaded team will usally wait for you to come to them, by safety, unless they're in the umbral and umbral mobs offer good enough pressure.
I will still say though that when you get invaded right when your fight the scarlet spectre, the red reaper when you at max fear (so when the umbral eye is red), that's pretty much a gg on my part
I got 2 ideas:
1)
When invaded, you experience turbulances. Some umbral mobs start spawning also in the regular dimension and harass you, as way to show "dimension disonances". If you get into the umbral, the umbral eye automatically turns red but instead of fighting the scarlet specter, you fight the invader.
The invader is the scarlet specter instead.
As an invader, you are the one sent by the depths to stop the player, if we want to fit the lore.
I think that would be badass.
If the invader lose, invaded players get and keeps the x3.00 vigor boost, as long as they stay in the umbral, the same way they would chasing off the scarlet spectre.
If the invader wins, like now, invaded players lose thir vigor, invader get his classic reward
If possible, during 1v2 situations, invaders can preamptively before the ivasion designate a type of mob to assist in fights.
So it would more so the invader and a boosted mob versus the two players.
2)
Not as good I think but it's something.
That would probably be OP but what if the invader can give orders and change mobs position/formation. For instance, a knight normally standing in front of a door could be moved by the invader on the side, to create an ambush and invaders would be able to use an item in the ranged slot only during invasion to control them.
