I think i encountered a cheater during crimson ritual

Was in the Mines doing my thing , then i get invaded , " cool " i think , lets fight !
we go at it oddly enough i was a bit curious at the choice of attire : full putrid child set
but i didnt care much kept fighting , then noticed that he only used heavenly vials , non stop
wanted to regen mana ? heavenly vial , health ? heavenly vial , stamina to keep chasing ? heavenly vial
even tho i understand people tend to douplicate those that is not what did strike me as very sus
he ends up killing me with a plunge attack after i call from some stairs in the mines - i enter umbral , he falls down and so i start swinging at him as he gets up with a +10 Justice
and some how he poises through every single hit i land on him - while im doing almost no damage to that player . before someone claims latency i could see the hit registration and hear the sound at the same time meaning there was little to no latency between us i think
and no there was no shield use from the invaders side - just a pair of judge clerics corrupted sword's
( so he couldnt use that one rune to boost poise )

idk im just stumped cant think of why that invader was able to sit still take a bunch of grans sword hits to the face uninterupted in any way shape or form by them , poise through them with minimal damage ..... with a putrid child armor ...... ( and no there were no visible aura buffs on that character , none i could see at least )

what gives ?!

Yeah. Cheating is a real problem in this game. I tried playing through game pass for a couple of hours and every time I tried to pair with others they were hacking to insta kill me, port me across the map and all sorts of other weird bugs. It completely discouraged me from playing.

well colour me surprised because after 133 hours of playing , completing radiant and Umbral endings ( currently going for infernal ) - and trying to do the flickering flail quest to unlock its secret ability
this was the first time i went " hold up .... this thing here does not make any sense , what ?"

and made me think it was possibly cheating - so i decided to discuss it , maybe i was wrong and it was not a cheat , maybe it was something i could also take advantage of - etc

Game with online and without cheaters is a thing that doesnt exist.
Unless the game is so dead no one plays online.

im aware
like i mentioned on the previous comment , im more or less discussing it to see if there was some obscure tech i didnt know about for poise
rather than that player being just another cheater in an online game

well colour me surprised because after 133 hours of playing , completing radiant and Umbral endings ( currently going for infernal ) - and trying to do the flickering flail quest to unlock its secret ability
this was the first time i went " hold up .... this thing here does not make any sense , what ?"

and made me think it was possibly cheating - so i decided to discuss it , maybe i was wrong and it was not a cheat , maybe it was something i could also take advantage of - etc

There is a possibility of that player being using the Eye of Loash (Whhile charging heavy attack all damage is received as wither damage and posture is not broken) and some defense pendant and ring (like Anchorite's Ring and some other defence ring).

And I had to lose on purpose to the light reaper because if not I would just kill it not even wanting to (found him the 3rd time just now and was it not for "checking on other stuff because of the forum" I would had promptly killed that boss just now because I can just charge heavy attack and yolo the boss taking zero damage and whenever I take damage the Radiant healling + extra defense deals with it just fine (so like I went from "dodging everything like usual" to "facetank everything without any care").

Dont know if it could be it, maybe, maybe it was a cheater.

Kind of my fault too, I am locked behind a gate I can not open (follow the steps or something) and am still looking for an item or something to open that gate, already talked to every NPC possible but I did not cleanse any beacon (dont know if I should cleanse the beacons now) so.. I am wandering around the whole game and leveling up in the process

if it is called skyrest key .... as soon as you enter the pilgrims rest area ( first area after skyrest ) enter umbral - you will see a skeletal hand being rested ontop of some wooden suport beams in the middle of the level area . try droping on it and see where that leads you ;p

sadly no .... that invader was not using charged attacks in any way , just pure light attack swinging

- just realised - " follow the steps of paladin something "

that is a side quest - and the gate being locked does not prevent you progressing the game overall

And .. I noticed that to, I expected "an area to open" but no, just a boss fight .. and I am still locked from progression but from the elevator vestige I found something else, hope it is what I need to progress.
It was actually a "left turn" I had never taken on the mines, from near where the NPC moved, that have another area, seem like another long way to go and hope this time to a boss or to just continue progress through the game.
