does the main/off hand matter during dual wielding?
was always wondering this. I never really dual wield but I had a tons of souls lying around from all my invasions, so I decided to make another weapon +10

I'm trying to use pietas sword +10 and bloody glory +10

but I'm wondering, does it matter in which hand I put the weapons? is the strongest (bloody glory) supposed to be in the main hand? or does it not matter at all?

also so far from what I'm seeing, my DPS seems to be lower with dual wielding when compared to just 1 pieta sword + shield lol. maybe I'm just feeling it wrong, but it DOES feel lower. I was expeting way, way more. since 2 +10 weapons should be better than just 1 with a shield, right? maybe I'm doing something wrong

Bloody Glory is a grand sword and it will slow your attack speed when you pair with anything faster than it. I recommend pairing your current Pieta's sword with another copy of it. Just remember for the AGI Rune slot to use Dimexus for dual wielding and if youre planning in just 2handing use Gravix on the STR rune. Also if youre 2handing get Jeffrey Dagger or Exacter Dunmire Cane on your offhand so you can stack 3 Gravix Runes on them, it will boost your 2hand damage on your main weapon.

I heard that off-handing a dagger gives you a dagger parry window. Im not 100%.

Neither do i, ive parried while dwing, 2handing, using a shield and didnt felt any different. Minus the part of the stamina cost since parrying still uses block so a good chunk of stamina will go out of the window if youre not using a medium to heavy shield.

Its really confusing. Daggers have the biggest parry window. I understand that small shields are next up. So if by having an offhand small shield improves your parry, wouldn't having an offhand dagger improve your parry even more at the cost of defense and stamina cost?
I'm PRETTY sure that's how that works- but it's not like its explicitly stated anywhere. Wiki just goes into the basics and doesn't talk about offhand daggers.

both gravix and dimexus are bad for pieta's sword. because those runes increase physical damage by 10%. but pieta does only holy damage. even if it did a little physical, its not worth it. I'm a pure RAD build.

as for the rest: yeah I know it slows me down, but still, this can't be right lol. surely two +10 weapons should do more damage than just 1 weapon with a shield, right? is this an oversight?

yes the hits themselves are stronger when dual wielding, but by the time I swing 1 hit with dual wield, I would have gotten already 3+ hits when using just 1 sword. do you know what I mean?

also I still don't know whether main/off hand matters. both weapons are strong AF and +10, does it matter in which hand I put pieta's sword? main or off hand?

is there a difference in damage depending on in which hand I put these weapons?

Dude you forgot to read the part that im using a Bartholomew Hammer while 2handing. Using gravix runes on my offhand. Last i checked the hammer in question does mostly holy damage.

Edit.: nvm about the Barto Hammer build. I posted that in another topic right after answering here.

around 100 more damage. now the question is wether its worth it to sacrifice other weapons/runes over it. remember, I have no STR. I'm pure RAD.

Man I really wish they would add a training dummy in skyrest or something. something where we can test all of this stuff. I wanna see if holy damage runes/rings are worth it for example. and I finally wanna test the dual wielding thing I was talking about

Probably not but it sure adds up and can avoid dieing because you lacked that boss living in a pixel life bar, happened to me more often than not. Barto Hammer is a good upgrade over Pietas sword and you dont need STR to use it, just look at that scaling.
