Can you be invaded in passworded coop?

Been playing with a friend (he's on xbox app) with passwords and we haven't been invaded for hours of gameplay. I went solo to do some item farming and got invaded twice in around an hour with no password set. Does the password prevent invasions or are we just not getting lucky?

Yes. Passcode is to prevent randoms from joining your session who aren't your friends. You can still be invaded.

Invading is a terrible experience. So there's not that many invaders.

I guess you looked at the forums screaming about invaders and though it was like a swarm of locusts lmao. Nah, it's just people getting railed once thn crying wolf about it.

Oh, also your location matters. While invading it only marches you with people of similar ping. So if you're in like, Fiji or something you probably won't get many people.
