PVP in co-op mode
Please give players an option to disable invasions (pvp) while playing multiplayer with a friend... my boyfriend and I were really excited to play the game as complete newbies to soulslike games but we suddenly got invaded by a player twice within a few minutes. Sadly, this ruins the game for us, it was not at all fun. Yes, we know about the mirrors now, but they are somehow hard to use and apparently don't really work AND are a limited resource. Quite sad :(

its a lot of fun to get killed from a pvp pro (not)
If you don't like pvp you can play the barbie game or something like that.
oh boy, thread #9000 of new player complaining about being invaded. its part of the souls experience. please just play the game. you are at an absolute massive advantage by being 2vs1. just play and you will automatically "git gud". after the second or third boss you will already by strong enough to win against 90% of all invaders.

Well, it wasn't clear by the shop site that the game would have a PVP experience, so as a total newbie who never played a single soulslike before - no less watched someone playing it - how am I supposed to know it's "pArT Of ThE ExpEriEnce"? If I wanted a pvp experience I would have played Marvel Rivals or something else entirely. It's a nice to have feature but I simply want to enjoy the story and the game itself and not constantly be stopped in the immersion because I get randomly invaded. I could try and get better but thats not what I bought the game for. It can't be hard to program a toggle off feature for it.

refund and move on to another game. you will not be happy with this game then. cause pvp is part of it if you want to play multiplayer and don't wanna use the mirror item
I think its fine. There are some try hards that have infinite mana and health stones and ammunition and just spam everything from a distance, but most invasions seems fine.
Not sure what marvel rivals has to do with it. This mechanics has been in souls games for 15 years

Sadly I cant refund the game because our first invasion was after 2hrs of gameplay :s And the mirror would be nice if it wouldnt be a limited resource (atleast thats what i read about so far). I think if there's a feature like this it should atleast be stated somewhere on the steam page, otherwise I would not have spent money on it - which actually is sad cause I like the game a lot generally

Yes it is fine, I think it's a nice to have feature. If only it was optional and not forced on you :( Marvel Rivals was just an example because it was the first pvp game that came to my mind, i was not comparing the games. Pvp is pvp at the end of the day. But atleast when i play Marvel Rivals I know that its pvp and I actively chose to play pvp, for me **personally** the invasions in lords of the fallen just ruins my immersion
I think its fun and welcome it with open arms. Yea it does suck when you get invaded a lot but there is a cooldown time of 10 minutes between invasions so that should be plenty of time to get to the next "checkpoint". If you are someone who likes to explore slowly sadly its best done in single player.
Once you get better at the game invasions are not really that annoying and it can be fun and a good learning experience since your fighting actual players.

go eat some bugs you tryhard
you're in co-op you can just 2v1 the invader. you're telling me you can't overwhelm the invader when you have the numbers advantage? you have all you're heals, invader has half. provided you weren't invaded in the umbral realm it takes the invader to kill you two times to actually put you down for good. you outnumber the invader 2 to 1. from what i can tell invaders can't be accompanied by another additional invader. you have every advantage you could possibly enjoy... the only one I can think of for invaders is the possibility of leveraging NPC enemies against the host... which is how I sometimes win out in 2v1 ganks.

also the mirrors are limited in quantity so that you don't spam it everytime you get invaded. you gotta face an invader at some point in time it is inevitable.
