Why is it called 2.0?
Is this LOTF 2023 or an update to the original LOTF?

Was LOTF 2023 always called '2.0' or does the '2.0' mean that LOTF 2023 has been radically updated?

it's LOTF 2023. its most likely called Lord of The Fallen "2.0" because it was major update overhauling and improving many aspects of the game, qol features, etc... similar to how Cyberpunk 2077's been doing it.

As developer push out updates the Version of the game changes, at launch it is version 1.0.

2.0 is usually a rebirth of the game because of all the changes made to it.

major changes - to coop - jump - game was redone to be easier . it was a major overhaul .
