2.0 release has made the game very easy, summon another player makes it even more easier.

I would prefer the opposite of the ironman-mod: Not loosing power, when you die. (permanently)

This is the main reason, I don't like souls-likes. (and I don't like this mechanic in this game either, although It's way easier than the original fromosoft-game imho, including bosses and ER.)

Suggestion: make this option only witth zhe most mod of the most rotted camps mod. (So, you're still punished, if you die: you need to go way longer ways to your last position, then. )

I only encountered the first boss, yet. But you'rfe able to summon a help directly before the entrance. This makes this boss nearly a peacecake. I would recommend to jump over your proud and do that. (I did eventually. And now, I will summon help evertime, this is possible. I hope, this is also possible for future-bosses....)

I don't mind to die, when I fight a boss. What I mind, is the punishment you get... You will loose all your power (and that's even the weakest punishment, because you can pickup it again...) And you will also loose any consumable you used... (e. g. you can''t load a save before you used them to have them available again.)

have you considered revamping your build? I've been plowing through this with little effort. I've died maybe 3 times in boss fights and I'm 44 hours in.

And how do you do that, with level 15 at the first boss? (for example.)
git gud

Setting the facetious nature of "git gud" aside he isn't wrong. Anyone who breaks down fights to "spend hour or 2 memorising attack patterns" is plainly not engaging with the systems the game provides. Optimise your damage a bit, hit like a truck. Set up to block or dodge, whatever is more comfortable, pick armour that's better suited to the enemies or boss you are fighting. Set up a damage type that's better against the enemies or boss you are fighting. Just invest in more health. please note none of these involve memorising enemy attacks. Drop any pretentious idea of how the game "should" be played and break it over your knee however works. None of this naked, no hit run as played on a banana stuff. If what you are currently doing is not working, maybe try something else instead of smashing your face into the wall. Its only fun mulching your face if what you are doing IS working AND you are personally invested in MAKING it work fully.

But you just can't "revamp your build" as a low-level character at the first boss.

There is a solution, however: you can summon a help just at the entrance (after you first died.) I believe, this is an AI-help. because everytime I done that, it took the role of tank.

And I'm, playing a ranged chracter (fire-cutlist), just hit the boss with my spells. The ranged attacks can be avoided relative easily, and even if you're hit, the aggro is hanging at your help, normally, so it's not that bad. (in comparison of the original fromsoft-games, where you're two-hitted, normally, can you withstand much more hits here.)

Disclaimer: by "revamp" I understand "respec". Or isn't that the same? I know, you CAN respec eventually, but at the first boss, you don't have any options for that, nore is it realy sensible to do that at that stage of the game...)
I dont understand people who buy a soulslike and then complain its to hard... this games are meant to be challenging. but there are mods you can enable before you start your game, i think there are some that are making the game "easier".
no they are not such mods

I thought about it, you kinda can. See boss 1 with the prayer, the broken sword turned light saber, the area attacks. Its all holy, probably 100% holy damage. Now if you explored on your way up you should have a full suit of pilgrim attire. Super light armor with incredible holy defence. Turns out the game handed you a custom suit specifically min maxed to help with boss 1.

"just" 1 hour?
Play in different sessions, it is also not like 1 try of the bossfight is 1h.

I hope you don't own a car. If you need this game nerfed even more then your egregious lack of hand eye coordination makes you a danger to yourself and everyone around you.

i recently came back, i played teh game on release, it was far more difficult back then, i remember taking like 3 - 4 tries for pieta, when i came back i did her on first try with barely any memory of her moves

They nerfed the game for the crybabies. It's 10x easier than release version
