This game is too long for its own good

Like, holy crap I feel like this game should've ended somewhere after finishing the holy brothers sanctuary. Once I entered the sisters sanctuary I was already tired of it and once I discovered that the Saint Judge wasn't the final boss I was basically begging it to end. The Bramis Castle was definitely the most annoying area in the game. I mean the lack of enemy variety really hits you there because how many times can you fight the same combo of dual axe dudes paired with fire dogs or that big demon dude or that flame knight like Jesus ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Christ...

Overall, I still enjoyed the game because I really loved the level design and the combat was ok I guess but hory ♥♥♥♥♥ they need to design more enemies (and better boss fights tbh) for the potential sequel.

7/10 I guess?

Really? I find it actually quite short to the point where I do a playthrough whenever I'm trying to decide what game to play next.

It took me around 43 hours on my first playthrough but I'm a type of gamer that likes to revisit different areas in order to find secrets and I generally like to take my time in soulslike games. Anyway, I still like LoTF, it reminds me of DkS2. It's flawed but it tried to implement some really cool ideas. Not to mention the overall atmosphere is also pretty similiar to DkS2 which is a very good thing in my eyes.

First playthrough with all bosses except one tied to the umbral ending was about 30 hours. Not bad I think the issue is the amount of enemy reuse can get exhausting after awhile.
