Why not have both male/female and body type a/b options

recently the ceo of ci games, the company that publishes lords of the Fallen, made a poll on twitter asking which players preferred, with male/female winning. he supposedly wants a player-first studio but switching a/b with male/female would still alienate the players that liked the a/b option. not to mention a twitter poll isn't exactly a reliable way to get a sample size of what a majority of the players, or gamers in general, want. by implementing a character creator with body types and genders, similar to what Baldurs Gate 3 has, you would be able to satisfy the most amount of players without really excluding anyone.
more options not less. what do you guys think?

The fact that you're talking about "genders besides male/female" displays that it is not about having different constructs, but instead replacing the construct of sex, with the construct of gender. There is no longer a word to describe someone as their sex because now it's a "gender identity". Another example of this is how they tried to dismantle sex based spaces. If gender was different to sex, then there would be nothing wrong with sex based spaces because they're different concepts right?

No-one wants to be associated with "body type A" it is dehumanising. There are male and female bodies. Those that are trans can just pick which one they prefer. It's not a big deal. What is a big deal is pushing their niche worldview onto others that no-one wants. We did not consent to this. We get told "why do you care" by the very same people who are trying to force change. If it's not a big deal, we'd keep things the same. It is not compassionate to invalidate a majority for the sake of a fringe minority. They had no problem playing games before, but now suddenly it's necessary to change our language and media to include them in the most patronising and inauthentic of ways. Not only that, but it completely contradicts the whole "being your true self" story that we were always told. Well here is an excellent way to be your "true" self, and now you're telling me that's not good enough? Once there was acceptance it wasn't enough...

male/female can refer to either gender identity or sex, they still sex exist to describe sex. and the reason people have spoken against sex based spaces is because being forced into roles that don't reflect your gender identity can be psychologically damaging.

and honestly, no one really cares about a/b, its only in video games anyway. no one except maybe internet trolls use it to refer to people in real life. and by your same logic non-binary people did not consent to male/female either. it's much more invalidating and dehumanizing to be forcing male or female on someone who does not identify as such. a/b has no real meaning and therefore can be anything you want including male or female there is no good reason for anyone to feel invalidated unlike with male/female. thats why the change is no big deal, but the older way of being forced to choose only between male/female when you don't identify as either could easily be a much bigger deal to some. Honestly, the ones who are so against it are the real fringe minority, the majority really doesn't care about or feel offended by it. where are you getting the "push their world view on to people" stuff anyway they just want acceptance which If you look at the news they still don't completely have unlike what you claim. and what "excellent way to be your true self" are you talking about? do you mean by following the results of a poll? following the results of a poll you don't agree with is literally the opposite of being true to yourself, that's suppressing your true self. having choices that let you pick both your body type and gender should give zero good reasons for anyone to feel left out or offended.

Having type a/b doesn't really make sense because it's essentially the same thing as male/female. In both scenarios, the breasts and genitals of type B will always be censored/covered, which clearly implies they're not body types because why do different breasts get censored of there's no more genders to choose from? the answer is obvious. If anything, type a/b is insulting to women, as it implies they're number 2 or option B when compared to a man. Male and Female is just easier and it doesn't insult the intelligence of everyone who is playing the game.

Because there's no such thing as "body type" unless it's muscular / fat / lean. There's gender, two of them to be exact. Does this sufficiently answer your question?

Let's say your sex is Male. You feel 'trapped' in your body and want to be sex Female. Still leaves everyone with 2 options. It's a visual option, not a mental/cognitive option. You either have parts for sex Male or sex Female, or something resembling one or the other in some way or another. Still leaves you with two options. It's a visual representation of what you can see with your eyes. A or B is just a strange way to represent both sexes.

Because that's the point, right? You want to have a different body and have the experience that comes with either body? Otherwise, why go through all the trouble?
99.9% of the population enjoys the visual experience of seeing either of the two sexes. What you feel/believe like inside your head, that's your experience, and no one can experience it like you, and you'll never be content with anyone trying to empathise with you, because it'll never live up to your expectations. That's not a problem you should put on 99.9% of the population.

It's like asking them to put a representation in the game for someone with ADHD, depression, anorexia, etc.
