Changing Xbox controller layout to PlayStation?
So I've never owned an Xbox, but I have owned a PlayStation and it's what I grew up with. I'm pretty sure there should be a way to change the control layout from an Xbox to a PlayStation, but I just can't figure out how to change it.

This older post lets you change it in the .ini file. It worked for me ;)

Oh awesome, thanks. I tried to search for a similar discussion, but I couldn't find it.

When I turned off Steam Input in the Steam controller settings, it automatically showed PlayStation button icons in the game after detecting my DualSense controller.

For many games that support PS4 or PS5 controllers, enabling Steam Input often switches the button icons to Xbox ones. I usually enable Steam Input for games that don't natively support PS controllers.

It's weird though, I've disabled the Steam Input as well, and on the game page it shows that it supports my DualSense controller, but the glyphs are still Xbox.

There are five places on Steam where you can adjust controller settings, and one setting might override another.

Global Controller Settings: Go to Steam > Settings > Controller.
Game-Specific Settings: These might override the global settings.

For Lords of the Fallen:

In your Steam game library, find the game.
Look in the top-right area of the screen for a controller section and click "View Controller Settings".
On the next screen, set it to "Enable Steam Input" (this means Steam Input is currently off for the game).

Here is a screenshot of how I resolved this same issue:
