No more patch?
I missed the day when they patched this game daily... although I never really went back after completing the game but I still downloaded those patches.

You miss getting updates for a game you finished and by the sound of it aren’t interested in replaying, why? For your actual question unless stated 1.5 was the last big update for the game.

Maybe they're cooking something nobody is expecting.

From some posts they’ll be working on a sequel that will only be distributed via epic games store.

Yea, but they didn't say this game won't be supported until then. It hasn't been a year yet so we could see some sort of paid DLC still.

"13 Oct, 2023", so less than a year

My mistake for some odd reason I feel like it released early last year. Still the game got a ton of support for the last 8 months. Not sure if the publisher wants to invest more money at this point. While I can't comment on consoles PC wise it only has 400 concurrent players despite all the updates I can't see charging for DLC being a priority.

I imagine they're happy with the state of the game as it is, so no more patches, at least not until they find something that needs to be patched. The roadmap is complete, a sequel is in development and they never mentioned plans for a DLC.

It's a shame, because there are some bugs in the game that they never fixed even though I sent them a detailed e-mail showing them the bugs, but nothing came out of it.

From a marketing standpoint, it makes no sense that they are still promoting the game in the current 1.5 version with the argument "try our game now, it's better", if they didn't plan on doing something further to keep the playerbase active. I imagine that if enough people hop on the hype train for 1.5, we might see some additional content before the next game launches, otherwise the hype will die down and the next game (which is already extremely controversial) will fade into obscurity by 2026.

There isn’t anything that can keep the player base active. Additional payed content isn’t going to get more people to play the game. Souls likes are pretty much a dime and dozen these days, if the game launched in a better state who knows.

Funny how you assume that just because there are other arguably better games out there, that people are not enjoying this one and so there's no reason to have any DLC. I personally don't care about fromsoft games, so if this game keeps getting content, I'll have reasons to keep coming back to check it out. Also, the whole point of DLC is to add unplanned content post-launch (unlike how most companies do it today by cutting content and selling it as day 1 DLC).
Bankai9212 Jul 5, 2024 @ 7:53am
Odd, don’t recall saying anything being better then this only that the market has alot of souls likes and the game had a rough launch. So some of the dev time and money went to improving the game, yet somehow you believe that they’re making more content based on what?

Since the game has a low player count especially after 8 months you think the publisher wants to invest more money into it?

Doesn’t matter if you don’t care about from soft clearly they have enough players to justify dlc a few years after release. It’s also funny you mention cut content and ignore the fact they are selling a character class and a 3d model viewer as dlc.

The average gamer brain is so rotten with live service cancer that a finished game literally doesn't make sense to them. What in the actual hell.
