question about damarose NPC questline

i met her at the traffic cone boss
and at the archer lady with her doggies
and on the path leading up fritz gorge

always exhausted her dialog

cleansed 2 beacons ( fen and calrath )
explored up to first vestige of sunless skein
did buy the pilgrims perch key to explore some more the other way


she never showed up at adyrs shrine place asking me to get the meats

will i still be able to get her shop items or am i locked out and have to wait for ng+ ? assuming i messed up the quest progress somewhere because shes not at the shrine

You cleansed the beacons, and since she's the demon lady she is hostile to you now, you will meet her later as a boss. If you wanna do her quest and expand her shop, you must not cleanse beacons and do the "evil" playthrough

i do her questline up until she shows up at adyr shrine - give her (3?) meat to open the shop option and then cleanse beacons ?

You can do that, yes. Just don't cleanse the beacons until you purchase everything you want from Damarose.

But honestly, Damarose's questline is best played through if you're doing the Inferno or secret endings (i.e. don't cleanse the beacons at all, at any point). There are certain items you can get from Damarose that are only available if you do the Inferno ending specifically.

i was after some rings that she had but i just go for ng+ if i think i really need them



some confusion about..

i need to kill the bosses to be able to approach the beacon(s)
is it possible to kill boss and just not cleanse the beacon(s) ?

Yes! After you kill the boss, you can just ignore the beacon. It's still worth going to the beacons. There's loot there at most of them you can grab. But you don't have to cleanse them if you don't want to.

well beacons are optional to cleanse, you may need to kill some bosses just to be able to advance further, but beacon cleansing thing is only required if you go for the "good" ending (if you cleanse a beacon you are locked out of 2 other endings, in fact), so yeah just ignore them
